About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Psychologist in private practice in West Hartford, CT. My entire career has been devoted to counseling, supporting, and advocating for individuals across the entire developmental spectrum.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

I spent five years as a special education teacher, and twenty-five years as a school psychologist in suburban and urban public schools. I have conducted and interpreted psychological and educational tests; counseled students, parents, and staff; facilitated student counseling groups, parent groups, and consulted with teachers, staff, and parents. Additionally, I served as a PPT coordinator, have written IEP goals, chaired PPT meetings, and have extensive knowledge of and experience in the special education process.

I’ve worked with behaviorally challenging students, students with learning disabilities, and children on the autism spectrum. I have helped many children and adolescents develop the tools to cope with issues that could otherwise impede their ability to have the healthy, successful lives that everyone deserves.

I have provided guidance and emotional support to parents, families, teachers, and school staff. Helping parents meet the everyday and unique challenges inherent in their roles in their children’s lives is of special interest to me. Engaging one-on-one with individuals in a helping capacity has given me my greatest professional satisfaction.

My unique experience both as a counselor and school psychologist, and many years with multicultural and bilingual students, allows me to meet clients’ needs across a wide array of home and school related issues.
